‘Divergent’ Movie adaptation in pre-production, to begin filming this year
The film adaptation for Divergent Movie is now officially in the pre-production phase, according to Deadline!
Reportedly, Snow White And The Huntsman screenwriter Evan Daugherty has now completed his work on the adapted screenplay for Veronica Roth’s best-seller, and the studio – Twilight and The Hunger Games studio Lionsgate – is looking to begin filming the project as early as this year!
No news of casting selections or a chosen director for the movie, yet, but if filming is to begin later this year, those headlines will soon follow.

Veronica Roth has always been “cautiously optimistic” about the fact that Summit bought the film rights to Divergent Movie, but now things are in motion. Deadline also reports that Summit has the film rights to book two of The Divergent Trilogy.

I want so badly to be in this movie! I loved the book, and am even reading it again before I re-read the second!!! Divergent is an excellent book.

i think Max Irons would be AMAZING as Four/Tobias. i can’t remember the girl i think should play Tris but it should be someone that’s not overly pretty and suits having a blonde bob.

I think they should be played by unknown actors (Tris and Four at least). It worked for Harry Potter, so why wouldn’t it work for Divergent?
I agree immensely! That’s exactly what i was thinking! It also worked for the Hunger Games. I think there is just too much conflict about which known actors should play them, so they should be unknown. I also think most of the actors people are suggesting are or look too young, the characters should look older and mature, like in the hunger games.
